The human body is a dynamic entity that delivers its agency through movement. As an Osteopath I believe that enabling a person to deliver the most from their active body is key to my role. My Approach to Osteopathy is focussed on understanding the patients dynamic chain, looking at how they move, from their foot to their head. I will often ask patients to walk on a treadmill while I watch them and assess their gait pattern. This helps me to identify where the problem originates. I am integrative in my approach, taking the best elements from other disciplines and applying them within the osteopathic framework. I will often prescribe exercises and build personalised orthotics to assist in patients’ recovery and performance improvement.
